In studio Tan - $35

Glow from head to toe with our regular full-body organic spray tan. This solution needs to marinate for 8-12 hours depending on the depth you want to achieve.

Note: The tanning area must be well-lit, have a power outlet nearby, and be able to accommodate a 4ft x4ft wide and 7ft high tent. (most of our clients, have us set up right in their kitchen. A service fee may apply for 20km or more

AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SUNLESS TAN:

SHOWER, EXFOLIATE, SHAVE & MOISTURIZE 24 HOURS PRIOR

• We cannot overstress the importance of pre-session exfoliation. 24 hours prior to your session, clear away any dry, dead skin cells with a body scrub or effoliating mit. This is important to ensure even color and long lasting results.

• Avoid using bar soaps especially dove soap, high ph shower products, or in shower moisturizers. These products can interfere with the DHA bronzing reaction in the skin.
  

• Avoid shaving, waxing, or use of depilatory creams for at least 24 hours prior to your session.
  

• Keep your skin well hydrated and moisturized with a water based moisturizer after exfolilation, shave and shower.
  

THE DAY OF YOUR SUNLESS TAN:

Don’t create barriers on your skin or the sunless tan may not stick well

Skip the lotion and makeup. While moisturizing your skin in the days following your tanning session can make it last longer, applying moisturizers and lotions the day of your tan can interfere with the bronzing spray absorbing into your skin. If you do wear makeup the day of your tan, remove it before spray tanning to get the most even tan on your face. Also, use deodorant sparingly. Believe it or not, it could interact with the spray and turn your armpits a not-so-fab shade of green. If possible wash deodarant off wellbefore heading for your tan or before your spray tan artis arrives

Arrive prepared

Wear loose-fitting, dark clothing to your session. Also, be sure to remove all jewelry and leave it off until your tan is set. This will prevent your clothes and jewelry from rubbing against your skin and smudging your tan or your clothing being stained by the tanning spray. If possible avoid wearing a bra after your tan unless you like tan lines and are keeping the bra you used for the tan on.

Step one: Know how long you have to wait before rinsing

Traditional Tans always require between 8-12 hours to achieve full development. You never want to rinse off before 8 hours, and ideally, you should shoot for at least ten hours for the best results.

Rapid Tan rinse-off time depends on your skin type and your desired level of darkness. Leaving it on for longer will result in a deeper, richer tan but do not go over the required time or you could pull orange and nobody likes an orange tan. Always consult your spray tan professional on what your recommended rinse-off time is!

Step two: Initial rinse-off instructions

• DO NOT use soap, shampoo, or any other body product on your initial rinse off
• USE only water!!
• NOTE: Your tan will continue to develop even after the shower, so do not be alarmed if you’re not as tanned as you expect to be, it will continue to develop over the next 24 hours. From this point on hydration is the key!
  

Step three: After your first shower

• Do NOT scrub down with your towel on your first rinse–pat dry instead! I always recommend patting dry after showers or baths to avoid pre-mature exfoliation of your tan.
• You CAN now apply deodorants and fragrances
• You CAN now work out/sweat/run around in the rain
• You CAN now live life as normal!
• You SHOULD remember to be regularly moisturizing from here on out! Hydrated skin is your tan's best friend
  
• Avoid moisturizers with AHA. (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) as this ingredient promotes exfoliation. Also, avoid any type of DHA product that has a self-tanner as these can turn your tan yellow.
  

NOTE: The life of your tan will depend on the frequency of your workouts, showers, and your skin’s exposure to chlorine and salt water. If you plan on swimming, apply a thick layer of waterproof sunscreen lotion, as this puts a barrier between your spray tan and the water.

Step four: Notes for your next appointment

• Did you like the set time or do you want to try a spray tan with a different set time?

• Did you like the depth of color–do you want more subtle or more significant for your next tan?
  
• Did you have any questions about fading, preparation, or care of your spray tan?
  

*Remember: your spray tan professional wants to work with you to achieve the best possible results and get your perfect tan down to a T, which requires you to communicate with them so they can tweak your next service if needed!

“My tan looks very dark I'm freaking out”

Don’t worry. Your tan will be darker before your first shower (8-10 hours after your appointment) because the spray tan solution contains a cosmetic bronzer that rinses off during your first shower. On a similar note… If you see your tan going down the drain, don’t worry, that’s the cosmetic bronzer, NOT your airbrush tan. The cosmetic bronzer is just a teaser until your actual tan develops underneath. After you’ve rinsed the cosmetic bronzer off you’ll have a natural, glowing tan.

“My tan got messed up after I sat down, is my tan ruined?”

Not at all. While your tan is developing ( this could take 8-10 hours ) it’s perfectly normal to see smudging, smearing or creases somewhere on your skin. it’s actually pretty hard to avoid that because you’re bound to sit down and move around during this time. But don’t worry. After your first shower ( approx. 8-10 hours after your sunless tan appoinment ) those marks will disappear and you will look great !

“My tan is fading. Is that normal?”

Sadly, Spray tans don’t last forever. They last 7-10 days and fade away evenly as your won skin cells shed. Everyone’s skin holds a tan differently, so your tan may fade at a different pace than your friends. That being said, there are certain activities that can accelerate the fading process, such as swimming, rubbing your skin with a towel after a shower rather than patting it dry, shaving, and forgetting to moisturize your skin… Remember to moisturize! We recommend using water-based Moisturizers or body butters to keep your skin hydrated and to extend the life of your spray tan.

“Will the spray tan wash out of my clothes and sheets?”

The cosmetic bronzer washes out of most materials. Avoid light nylon and other light synthetic materials. If you choose to wear a bathing suit or undergarments while getting your tan, make sure they’re dark colors. We provide disposable thongs and bras as well. Regardless, make sure you bring dark, loose clothing to wear after your appointment. If you’re worried about your bed sheets, wear loose pajamas or put dark sheets on your bed until after you’ve taken your first shower.
